01. WE GROW MUSHROOMS
We grow functional mushrooms at our urban farm in Salt Lake City, Utah, ensuring the highest quality and purity of our product. We value our connection to the entire growing process as it allows us to extract only the finest mushrooms.
02. GROWN FOR POTENCY
Our mushrooms are grown with love to exacting standards to produce beautiful and naturally potent mushrooms. We grow exclusively on the mushrooms’ preferred substrate of hardwood (Oak) for optimal medicinal benefits and harvest our mushrooms at the ideal time for peak potency.
03. METICULOUSLY CURATED
Growing our own mushrooms ensures the highest quality of our extracts by curating the best fresh mushrooms and using 100% fruiting bodies. The mushrooms are immediately and carefully dried, and then sent to our extraction lab.
04. BLACK GOLD
We grow with sustainable and organic practices and donate the spent mushroom substrate, the Farms' primary by-product, to a local community garden. The spent mushroom substrate is a highly sought after compost known as ‘Black Gold’ for its’ bioremediation effects and ability to clean and revitalize soil health.
Our Extraction Process
01. PROCESS RAW MATERIAL
Fresh mushrooms sourced from our farm are immediately dried and then powdered at our extraction lab.
Our extracts contain 100% mushroom fruit bodies for maximum potency. We do not use mycelium on grain or mycelial biomass that contain starch and filler.
02. DUAL EXTRACTION
We use a dual extraction method for maximum bioavailability and a full-spectrum product as each extraction method pulls different beneficial compounds into the final product.
Hot Water Extraction:
The indigestible raw mushroom is broken down using hot water, making the beneficial compounds within readily available.
Alcohol Extraction:
To extract non water-soluble compounds and produce a full-spectrum product, mushrooms are soaked in 95% organic cane alcohol for several weeks.
We only use the cleanest and purist of ingredients, with absolutely no fillers, additives, or artificial compounds of any kind.
03. FILTER & CONCENTRATE
The extracted mushroom solids are filtered out, leaving pure extracts.
To ensure potency of the product and to account for natural variability in mushrooms, the extracts are concentrated by evaporating excess liquid.
04. COMBINE EXTRACTS
The hot water and alcohol extracts are combined, bringing the alcohol content down to a shelf-stable 30% and resulting in a premium, full-spectrum dual extract.
